Marigolds i just love these golden little beauties,of course they are available in different colors and breeds but i just like the plain old orange ones, widely used for making garlands for religious ceremonies or weddings,i mean you name it the humble marigold holds an important place in our customs and traditions. It is also used as a food dye (cheats saffron).Growing marigolds is easy peasy all you need are some dried Marigold flowers and a empty pot with some potting soil to begin, just lightly tear apart the flower and you'll see long blackish kind of seeds just scatter them and cover lightly with some soil, and water and within a weeks time you will see little baby marigold saplings pop out. These are simple no fuss low maintenance plants just soil and water and no fertilizers what so ever and look at those gorgeous blooms aren't they magnificent.
and below is a picture of my lonely ranger a french marigold.
