The Scent of Sweet Jasmines(2)

In my previous post as promised i would share with you all some more pics of my jasmine plants so here they are.Star Jasmine plant was blooming profusely but unfortunately i could not manage to get hold of a picture.

Night blooming jasmine thought the fragrance of it is unbeatable at times you may just get a headache its that overpowering when in bloom, also this plant is highly toxic to both humans and animals alike to like to just keep it away in a corner away from the reach of my pets. Also i make sure to wash my hands well with soap immediately after i handle any toxic plants in my potted garden.

The Kunda plant below bears flowers in clusters of 4 to 5 and they dont have any scent really like other jasmines do but they are pretty to look at.

This royal jasmine plant below has the most amazing scent and its flowers bloom only after sunset,at any given time when the plant is flowering i can get anyway between 25 to 50 buds per day. This variety of jasmine is used for making hair garlands as well as for offerings to god. Also during the summers these flowers can be dropped into an earthen pot with drinking water and let to infuse overnight it perfumes the water with its jasmine scent however in case your planning to make jasmine scented water make sure that the flowers are chemical free and pest free before you use them only organically grown ones are preferred.

This is Puppytoe my youngest petty pie and yes she wants to be pictured as well.

the picture below is a coral jasmine plant that i got from the nursery its still very small so no blooms expected from it as yet but lots of love and nurturing with hope of getting some one fineday.

So the scent of jasmines make up for the  unbearable summer heat.
